COMMUNITY SPACE

Community Space

The extended Wellspring Church Centre will welcome thousands more local residents and visitors of all ages...

RECEPTION & THE LIVING ROOM

A light, colourful and spacious area of 110 square metres welcomes local people to meet, connect, enjoy refreshments and make use of the extended Living Room. Historically this space has been widely used by charitable organisations, as a temporary winter night shelter for rough sleepers, and is a permanent home to Watford’s Food Bank (The Trussell Trust) who use the facility on a daily basis, complete with storage facilities. It is a meeting point for local people.

During the evenings and weekends the area is used by charities and community groups at discretionary/reduced rates. On Sundays this area will serve as the registration and access point for children and families to enter The Sycamore Suite

Welcome...

REMODELLED KITCHEN

In the heart of The Living room is a serving hatch which leads to the kitchen. The current kitchen has limited facilities and the increased demand has informed our decision to re-model the kitchen. The kitchen has been extended by 17 square metres to facilitate an industry-standard kitchen complete with stainless steel work surfaces, stove, commercial oven, pot washing and dishwashing facility.

Throughout the week the new kitchen will be used by partner charities and community groups, offering catering training, cooking lessons and 1:1 life skills. On a Saturday, the facility can be used for low-cost catered functions (e.g. weddings) and on a Sunday the church congregation can enjoy a meal together after the church service – food being the cornerstone of our multi-cultural fellowship.
