MEDIA TRAINING

Media Training

The Media Suite is a multi-use, multi-purpose facility situated at the far north-eastern corner on the first floor. It is divided into a control room/gallery and a small studio complete with a green screen, and will be used for training young people interested in media and audio production.

In the newly extended Wellspring, all spaces are connected to the Media Suite where audio and video can be controlled accordingly for livestream, video conference and 4K recording.

Equipped for today and tomorrow...

Like the majority of churches in the UK, adapting to the way that ‘church is done’ during COVID -19 has required significant investment in media facilities. There has been a stark realisation to the changing times and the demand for social media and livestreaming, and we are strategically focussed and equipped to respond to the changes in how people learn, worship and meet together.

The Media Suite is used to produce dynamic church resources such as monthly ‘vodcasts’ like The Ripple Effect, leadership training videos, worship and prayer resources, and support materials for wider community projects. There is also a facility to live stream conferences, facilities for Zoom and YouTube studio events for charities and community groups.

This facility will support the arts community of Watford through the recording of audio and video –choirs, bands, virtual gigs, theatre performances and spoken word.

The intention of the Media Team is to create a training programme for young people who struggle to access mainstream education and want to gain transferable skills in the creative arts. In Hertfordshire, music and media services provide important ‘hubs’ that bring local people together and our Media Suite will contribute to this.
