OUR CENTRE IS FULL TO BURSTING: IT'S TIME TO EXTEND!

In 2009 we broke ground on The Wellspring Church Centre, a purpose-built facility adjacent to Lower High Street and Watford Fields, dedicated to provide services and facilities for local people. Since then use of The Wellspring has grown to welcome and serve over 30,000 people a year.

Our facilities are full-to-bursting with life and offering help to many, and now is the time for us to extend the Centre. With active Planning permission and a growing resource base, we have ambitious plans to provide a much-needed town-centre context to help meet the growing needs of our local community and our church family.

How did we get here?

HOW AND WHY THE WELLSPRING WAS BUILT
As a small but lively church family based in the heart of Watford, Watford Community Church (now Wellspring) began a journey in 2006 to find a permanent base in the community, a life-giving centre of community activities and Christian worship that would inspire hope in the next generation and offer real help to local people.

Watford Borough Council saw that we were what the Mayor later described as a 'community church that does what they say on the tin' and after an open bidding process we were entrusted with a long lease on the former Watford Springs site...
